In just the last decade alone, 30 years have been added to the average American lifespan. Every time we pick up a newspaper or go online, we're reminded of the latest and greatest approaches on how to go about living longer, reinventing ourselves, reimagining life, or repacking our bags. And we are continuously told about how to plan ahead, more often than not because they want to sell a product. Not that they are unhelpful or unimportant; it's good stuff, but the author explains how they often fall short. The financial industry is content to encourage people to work hard, save hard, and invest as much as they can; it's good, but only to a point. And that will be among the problems the author will acknowledge as we delve deep into the book.

Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a nonfiction book about planning ahead and reconfiguring yourself while living your type of life and dream to the fullest. It's known that after retirement, many old people tend to get bored, which would cause them to pick up bad habits that may pose a risk to their health, at the end of the long run. Reconfigurement is a book that enlightens one about what to do. This book is written from the author's POV, and I enjoyed it because the author added lots of humor, which made it interesting and easy to understand. With the author's way of writing, it felt like we were in the same space, which made me laugh out loud sometimes and made it easier to make use of the author's advice.

When it comes to things that I disliked about the book, I found none. The book is well edited. Everything is more practical and not a piece of baseless information. The author's humor style is very interesting, which made me enjoy the book. And everything was written in a way that readers would understand.

I would love to rate the book four out of four stars. It's well edited, with no use of profanity or mature language. And everything about the book is informative, regardless of the reader's age.

When I first came across Reconfigurement, I thought it was meant for 40 years and above, but reading it made me think otherwise. We should plan our lives ahead, which is what the book is all about. I would like to recommend it to teens, youths, and adults. This book is recommended to financial advisors and workers in the financial industry. I'll also recommend it to the jobless, newly employed, employed, or people who are planning to retire.
