“Broadly speaking, human beings may be divided into three classes: those who are toiled to death, those who are worried to death, and those who are bored to death.” – Winston Churchill

Which one are you? Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer is a game changer.

Each chapter of the book touches on different key elements of the author’s reconfigurement program such as career assessments, software about retirement planning, life insurance, social security, investments, retirement plans, affordable health insurance, long-term care, estate and will, college savings plan, and budgeting.

The pandemic is one of the major turning points in one's life to reconfigure life. I changed my career path during the pandemic. This book provides a structure for me to solidify my decision. The most important of all is the ability to work and the capacity to earn. Inflation is one of the thieves of our hard-earned income. But we cannot control or even manage it. Once you read the book, you’ll become financially aware and think about how to maximize every penny you earned. Being able to get out of a career that you can no longer grow is one of the key elements of this book. It's about planning ahead until you can no longer work.

I enjoyed reading the book. I don't know that financial planning and humor could mix. The author is cute and thoughtful in injecting humor once in a while. It's like an oasis in a barren land. I think he is a hilarious financial planner. He is like a father whom you can hang out with every weekend. He is very knowledgeable, and his book is a must-need for everyone.

I only find one error. I think the book was professionally edited. There is nothing I dislike about the book. But I napped once I finish a boring chapter as the author suggested.

I recommend the book to someone who is in the middle of a life crisis. It can be quarter life, middle life, or later life crisis.

You could appreciate this book if you're in the business or financial industry. It's a gold mine if you’re planning for your retirement. The sooner you find this book, the sooner you can learn and plan for what's ahead.

For the laugh and the learning, I rate Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer a whopping four out of four stars because of the reasons I mentioned above.
