Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non-fiction book. The book is about reconfiguring finances. The author tries to explain the reasons why people need to plan for the long term. The book revolves around retirement, and it talks about the plans and steps people should make before reaching that age of retirement. The book highlights the importance of planning and gives major pointers on the ways that it can be done.

I liked many things in the book. Firstly, the author adequately explains the ideas in the book. The author explains the different ideas and concepts which can help in reconfiguring a person's finance. Saving, investment, and wills are some of the topics that the author talks about in the book. The author also discusses the different categories that such topics can have. The author gives a little backstory to the laws and policies that are present. This makes it easier to understand some of them. Secondly, I like that the author hammers on the importance of personal research. The book explains the topics and gives pointers that can help you in your decisions, but the author highlights the importance of doing your research to find out what best works for you. This is important because people's situations vary.

Thirdly, the author provides sufficient statistics to buttress the points that he was making. The book provided statistics to help explain some of the topics. This is very helpful as it makes it easier for a person to understand and also do their research. The author provided ways for people to research for their careers. These careers can also be done during retirement. Fourthly, the author tries to reduce the seriousness and bore of some of the topics. The author cracks jokes throughout the book. This made the book more interesting. Also, I like that the author puts the source of his information. The author provides the places where he got his information and statistics. The author also puts the source for where he got the jokes.

I give the book four out of four stars. The author writes a book which can help people in planning their long-term finances. I could not find a single negative thing about the book. The book was well edited. I only noticed a single error.

I recommend the book to people who want to start planning their finances. The book is also recommended for people who want to acquire information that would better prepare them for retirement, make informed decisions, and update their knowledge about finance.

I think that young adults need to read this and, somehow, we need to get them to really understand. They are at the point saving would not involve so much of their income.
