Review of Reconfigurement

[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
A looming chasm potentially threatens the future of millions of Americans and non-Americans. And at the core of this chasm, I believe, is a profound disconnect between reality and tradition.
The reality, as we all know, is that Americans are living longer. In the last decade alone, 30 years have been added to the average American life span. And as such, accumulation and prudent management of resources, so we stop working at age 65, doesn't help an individual to be gainfully and happily employed well past the traditional retirement age of 65.
We can't pick up a newspaper without being reminded of this harsh reality.
Magazine articles constantly pitch the latest and most excellent approach to living a longer life. But it often falls short.
E. Alan Fleischauer's Reconfigurement
is an antidote to this looming chasm between reality and tradition. And it's aimed at providing the missing piece of the equation.
The book focuses on the importance of planning, working in a job you love, and having lots of fun before and after your retirement age.
It covers testing for career aptitudes, investing, life protection, and affordable health insurance. There are chapters on retirement planning, long-term care alternatives, 401(k) plans, IRAs, and Social Security strategies, with a section debunking various Social Security myths. In each short and to-the-point chapter,
E. Alan Fleischauer prepares readers to lead a rich and active life before and after retirement.
I love this book because the author beautifully and in a lighthearted manner provides detailed information on all the steps you need to know to have a beautiful life void of financial struggles before and after retirement.
I took away a lot of valuable advice and lessons from this book and believe I will use it again and again for reference as I "reconfigure" my financial plans for my retirement years. The author also has a humorous and conversational writing style that makes the book accessible and fun.
There was nothing I disliked about the book.
For these reasons, I would give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars
The book was excellently edited because I found no errors.
If you are worried about your financial future, not wanting to save as much as possible, and spending as little as necessary, I recommend this book. It's an excellent read to help you plan and reconfigure
