We are Human beings. We have life to live. Our life can be said to be a living system, which has a natural configuration. Configuration of the life can be defined as a functional arrangement to live. The book Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer gives a procedure for reconfiguration of human life. The manual configuration of the life as per proceeding of life. Human beings cannot live without ' food, body cover (clothes) and shelter.' These three basic needs of body and other life activities require something called money. Money is needed in different quantum at different levels of life. If one wishes to have happy and smooth life, he or she has to be careful in maintaining the income or availability of money, as per the requirement throughout the life. And this needs reconfigurement!

The author E. Alan Fleischauer has created this excellent book containing information and procedures, about the task of reconfiguration of one's life. He has distributed the project into thirteen chapters. A typical thing that is observed here is that no titles are given to the chapters.I guess it is the skill of author used to avoid boredom of reader and keep the reader reading! Chapter three discusses exploring the concept of assessments. Here very valuable and useful information is given for everyone to choose the right job. Work values and points like creativity, variety, self-development structure , influence, performance, working conditions and altruism are discussed. This book contains thorough information and knowledge about retirement planning, social security program, health care planning, monetory planning, mental health planning and even will planning. Insurance plans and investment types for future requirements of money are also included with prime importance. The possibility of unexpected difficulties in old age or rightly saying disasters like accidental disability are discussed with available solutions.

The positive aspects of the book include the professional presentation of the subject. The author with his high qualification and vast experience in the field has given all the scientific, technical, legal and also practical information. He has also touched the sentiment of normal person at some important points. For example he says - ' That certainly needs to be discussed. Not soon, I hope! But, on the other hand, if I knew I were going to die in six months, I would certainly lay the groundwork for my death. And quite probably max out my credit cards with expensive trips!' ' The moral of this two-sided story is that all situations, no matter how terrible they appear on surface, have within them the seeds and the potential for good.' As the topic of financial and other planning for one's retirement and old age is not simple and easy the author E. Alan Fleischauer has decorated his writing with jokes and a friendly humorous language. Some jokes included are not only jokes but give an idea of different human natures and capacities: for example ' Mr. Johnson was a very rich man and more than a bit eccentric. On his deathbed, he gathered his doctor, his pastor, and his insurance salesman around him. .........'

I did not find negative points in this book. But wished the author could have monitored the details of different retirement plans, schemes, investment options and long term care, which might be difficult to understand for some readers. The book has been professionally edited.

I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I liked the presentation of the subject and the information contained. I appreciate the efforts taken by the author to collect and include very useful and accurate information about the reference books and websites.

I will recommend this book to all the people in the age group of 30- 50, having or not having any financial and retirement planning. They will certainly and definitely get a very nice direction for their future planning, which will be reconfigurement of their life.
