Review of Reconfigurement

[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
Reconfigurement: Recovering Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer is an eye-opening book on the importance of planning early for one's retirement. And this book gives modern methods to go about planning for retirement in modern times.
This book is divided into thirteen chapters, and E. Alan Fleischauer manages to bring into light realistic retirement strategies in each of them. He talks about tax management, pensions, career assessments, disability insurance, investments, budgeting, health insurance, and retirement planning, to name a few. It is a book that helps both the old and young. Reconfigurement: Recovering Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead helps the young make the right career choice and enables the old to switch careers to the right fit and prepare for retirement.
I admire E. Alan Fleischauer’s writing style. I thought a financial book like this would be filled with financial jargon and hard to read. I found the conversational tone in Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead a huge relief.
I love that the author tried to simplify technical words. Most terms still require that I carry out a Google search to fully comprehend them. His real-life examples and case studies helped him buttress his points and made them relatable.
Chapter Three was my favorite chapter in all of this book. It recommended some assessment tests that help determine the right career that fits our personalities. The book ran through some career aptitude tests, work values tests, career planners, and many more. Discovering myself was nice, even though some tests were not 100 percent accurate.
What I did not like about Reconfigurement: Recovery Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead is that most ideas do not apply to me as I do not reside in America.
I rate Reconfigurement: Recovering Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead 4 out of 4 stars, even though most ideas might not apply to you and where you live, the book contains powerful nuggets that will help you plan for your future.
Reconfigurement: Recovering Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer is properly edited, I only found one error in it.
I recommend this book to everyone, and as the title suggests, at whatever stage you are at, as long as you are serious about making the best of your future and would not mind reading technical financial terms.
