As the average American's life expectancy increases over time, the need for a solid retirement plan has become even more critical. However, to accomplish this, a decent career and retirement plan are required, as well as an understanding of how to benefit from the social security program, the most desirable insurance models to enroll in, and when, where, and how to invest in the financial markets to cater for sickness and accidents, along with life after retirement. The book Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer has adequately covered all these in a more coherent, relatable, and enjoyable manner. Additionally, the author uses humor and fun facts effectively to make the subject more entertaining and further assist the reader in getting through the usually complex financial theme.

Furthermore, I find the external resources provided in the book extremely useful, especially the career aptitude test website. Their services may not be entirely accurate, but at least they provide one with some basic information about their personality and the careers they are likely suited to. I also like the frank and friendly tone adopted by the author throughout as he brilliantly engages with the reader. Another positive aspect of the author is that, despite his extensive knowledge of the subject, he constantly encourages the reader to seek advice from other experts. Finally, I appreciate the author's generosity, which he further demonstrated by providing readers with a reading list of other useful materials that could help in finding desirable employment.

Admittedly, Americans were the intended target, which invariably excluded me and other readers like me, but still, I have no complaints about the book. This is because I have learned some practical tips from reading its content. Similarly, it provided me with a different perspective on the topic, valuable information, and resources that could guide me in planning a better career to enjoy a less stressful retirement.

I found the book to be professionally well edited as I didn't notice any errors. Thus, it has boosted the progression of the stories and ultimately delivered a premium reader experience. For this reason, I rate the book four out of four stars.

I recommend this book to students getting ready to enter the workforce, employees considering a change of careers, and employers looking to make their organizations more appealing by providing care for their employees. This book would also be recommended to professional financial advisors and other career and pension planners.

Thank you for the great review Faiso!
The basics are truly important: a career and a retirement plan. This book will help outline or point out areas to keep in mind before retirement and for retirement.

The career aptitude test website sounds interesting. I took these types of assessments when I started my first career. I wonder what my test results would look like now, having had a couple of different careers.
Thank you for your thorough take on this informative read!

I also read this book recently, and I liked how every subject is extensively covered; the author explains the many options available and a person can just choose what's best for them. Thank you for your great review!

I wish I was motivated to read this book, but I’m not. It seems to have a lot of good information, lots of what Dad said.
