[Following is a volunteer review of "The Dream Primer" by Jeff Meyer.]
The Dream Primer: Turn Your Low-Def Ideas Into A Stunning Hi-Res Future You Must Pursue is a self-help book written by Jeff Meyer. The book is born out of the author's desire to help people discover their dreams, overcome the challenges that accompany them, and achieve victory. The author engages the readers with his personal experiences in his new home, using them to highlight some striking insights about the realities of our collective dreams. The discussion then moves to different "Dream Circles and Habits" and ends with "Final Words."
The first thing I noticed when I started reading this book was the author's heavy reliance on real-life experiences and proven approaches to develop his points. Readers will come across a lot of actions and measures taken by the author at various stages of his life as he tries to discover the essence of his existence on earth and actualize the same. They will also come across the life experiences of other people like Paul and Evan as they struggle to identify and realise their dreams.
I admired the author's confidence and conviction about the effectiveness of the approaches he proffered in this book to help people actualize their dreams, goals, or desires. His ideas are fresh and captivating. I was inspired to read that "dreams are a universal birthright, discovered solely through intentional and persistent listening" (page 11). The author reaffirmed the age-old truth that every person in this world is good at something. All that is required is the right approach and mindset.
The author addressed a lot of things in this book, like "sources of dreams," "Different Dream Strategies for Different Dream Challenges," "Other Great Ways to Be Inspired," and "Understanding the Essence of Fear," among others. I found them empowering. I like that the author draws from his wealth of experience in leadership and coaching to buttress his points. The word choices made in this book were simple and appropriate (they had an inspirational undertone).
I had a smooth reading experience with this book. I didn't find any grammatical errors in it. It was thoroughly edited. There was nothing to complain about this book. Hence, I am delighted to rate The Dream Primer: Turn Your Low-Def Ideas Into A Stunning Hi-Res Future You Must Pursue four out of four stars. This book is recommended to anyone who needs that extra support, guidance, motivation, or reorientation to enable them to discover and actualize their dreams.
