Voulhire is a place different to what Galen has ever known in almost every aspect. Being a refugee, who previously lived in the Islands of the Princes, he found himself in a strange place that soon he was able to call home. Voulhire is ruled by King Wilhelm who seeks good for his people and is loved by them as much as he loves them. An empire full of culture, traditions, beauty and even betrayal and scars like the city of Hillport.

A city who Meldorath Delehei, a mage who used to be General of the Voulhirian Southern Army for years, used to rule over by order of the king, a dear friend of his who soon came to be his enemy. A city that seemed to be scared by their past rulers, which Lord Eldus will try to fix and find out every secret that he can find of this place hidden by Meldorath. Will Voulhire endure what must come?

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is quite a wonderful fiction novel and may I say that Mattew Tysz has done an amazing job in this book. I love the small but insignificant details that help deepen the story. These details are fabulous in voulhire's universe and are not too many to confuse the reader but are enough to find the idea, follow the story and what it means by it. The narrative is quite simple to follow, although in moments it can be confusing, but with great attention it is possible to understand.

The little suspense it creates, and scales is impressive and not at all exaggerated, because it does it in a quite fluid way. As well as the story that´s not entirely extravagant and the simplicity of the nature of the characters fits perfectly with each of their roles. Even small exchanges between them are quite enjoyable. And the fact that the way the story is build is very unusual adds to the development of the story, as it changes perspectives by chapters but retains the sense and the storyline.

This story has greatness, and I really enjoyed every aspect of it, which is why I rate this book 4 out of 4. I totally recommend it for those who enjoy fantasy and is also not overwhelming if you are beginning to read fantasy or science fiction! Just as a little note, there is a bit of cursing however not extreme and there isn't any censored content either, so people over the age of 16 should be able to enjoy this book.
