Review of Reconfigurement

[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
“I created this program to address the chasm between reality and tradition, and to provide what I believe is a missing piece of the equation—planning ahead for retirement.” (pg-8)
Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a brilliant book. It is about 155 pages long in PDF format. It is all about planning for retirement, and starting early will give you a more meaningful retirement. I appreciate the thought behind this book as the author wrote this book during the corona pandemic, which must have been hard, but he cared for all those who had quit their jobs and were worried about their future.
This book tackles retirement and the various aspects needed to consider before planning for it, including budget plan, Social Security, insurance, investing, and more. This book also includes online assessment sites that help to find readers’ attributes and qualities and related jobs. It also debunks many myths related to Social Security, which was really eye-opening.
In limited pages, the author has concisely put together all the essential steps for this plan to work. The theme of retirement planning and its corresponding measures were well-highlighted. The author has thoughtfully compiled this program by utilizing his experience as a financial advisor and the knowledge he gained through the R.I.C.P. designation e-course.
I liked the author explained in brief topics that would have otherwise been lengthy and difficult to understand. I appreciate the author’s emphasis on seeking financial advice before applying any of the steps or services mentioned in the book.
I genuinely like that the author writes as a friend who shares advice and also makes many jokes at the same time. A bland topic became absorbing because of his jokes. Although some jokes were clumsy, the rest were fine. The informal manner of writing was a big plus for me.
I picked up a thing or two from the book, like budgeting and free money, and learned many unfamiliar terms and definitions, like codicils is an amendment to a will.
The only negative I can think of is the limitation of the applicability of this program, as it applies only to Americans. But other than that, I see no reason not to give it a perfect score.
I rate Reconfigurement four out of four stars. A professional edited it, as I only noticed a few errors. I recommend it to people searching for a strategy to plan their retirement and those planning to change their jobs. It is a must-read for you if you’re forty or older and living in America.
