Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a beautiful tale of friendship and growth. It tells the story of four friends who create a ritual to go on annual trips to new, exotic destinations, tasting the local cuisine and culture while forging lifelong memories.

While in college, the protagonist shared his dream of traveling to foreign places annually to sample their cuisines with Sam. Three years later, he received a call from Sam, and his dream became a reality. Their first trip was to New Zealand. Two years later, they were joined by Alec and Daniel, and a tradition was born. Each chapter promised new adventures or "man missions" as they regarded them. They hiked, cycled, kayaked, and ice-climbed in different locations worldwide while sharing their life experiences.

We follow the lives of these men throughout this book. We see them grow from being carefree bachelors to husbands, fathers, and businessmen. Along the way, they all struggle with different demons, such as financial losses, divorce, and health challenges, and they support one another through them. I loved reading about the adventures in this book, although as the book progressed, the author shifted the emphasis from the adventures to the lives of the men. At a point, the trip began to serve as an escape from reality. They saw it as a chance to unwind from the pressures of life. The healthy friendship between these men was one of the things I admired in this book. We don't often encounter this kind of friendship, yet we all need it.

I commend the author for vividly illustrating the places in this book; I could easily picture them in my mind. I also liked the maps he introduced in each chapter. This book contained diverse cultures, which I enjoyed. As someone who hasn't been to these places, I found it quite enlightening. They traveled to destinations like Australia, Fiji, Japan, Peru, South Africa, South Korea, and Spain and explored the local cuisines and cultures. The author effortlessly merged the adventures with events in the men's lives while incorporating humor. There were a lot of lessons to learn from this book, such as accepting change and the importance of friendship.

I commend the author on the captivating storyline and character development; he did a fantastic job. This book was filled with humor, and it deserves a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. There was nothing to dislike. I found no errors while reading, showing that it was amazingly well-edited. I recommend this book to readers who love books about adventures.
