E. Alan Fleischauer, an entrepreneur and professional financial services executive, offers the experiences and knowledge he accumulated over the years. His book Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead prepares people for retirement. It entails setting up your life in advance and at any stage. This book has thirteen chapters, and each covers different topics on having a retirement plan. He gives insight into investing and recommendations on life protection.

I liked a lot of things about this book. I generally believe this is a necessary and much-needed book. I particularly enjoyed the author's discussion of revenue in chapter two. It has been challenging to reconfigure if there is no income. I've discovered that one of the most priceless possessions is the capacity to support yourself financially during your entire life. The author also stresses the importance of having personal disability insurance in this chapter. Budgeting is in chapter twelve. People of all ages can benefit from the information in this chapter. The author has emphasised the importance of setting a budget for how one spends money. The budget should contain a person's salary, housing expenses, food and beverages and other expenses like credit card bills and college costs. The author also suggested using online resources for the same reason. But he uses mint himself. Budgeting guarantees that one does not waste money on unnecessary purchases and instead generates "free" money to spend on pleasurable activities.

The book has numerous jokes. Most of them were amusing, while others were not. I had no particular issue with that. It helped break the monotonous seriousness of the book. Lastly, I like the author some personal experiences.

There is nothing I disliked about this book. I am giving this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. The book was exceptionally well-edited since it had no typing errors. This book is also enjoyable and instructive. Younger readers would not have trouble grasping the principles in the book because the descriptions were clear. The book also included references to other materials. It demonstrated that the author is an expert in this field, and you can trust his opinion.

As I have mentioned, this book focuses on planning for retirement. But it focuses on the American economy. Either way, any reader can benefit from this book. I, therefore, recommend it to everyone because it is never too late to prepare for retirement.
