A civil war has been taking place in the land of Princes for the past two decades. A man by the name Galen Bray was unlucky enough to have been in such an era as he strives to survive in a hostile environment. However, luck happens to be on his side when he is a given a chance to leave his war-torn town to go to Voulhire by his uncle whom he didn't know existed. The kingdom of Voulhire happened to have found itself in a golden age where wealth, technology and culture were the envy of a fast-changing world.

I like how the author of the book has given out detailed and vivid descriptions of the different events in the book which enables the reader to visualize and dive into the fictional world. I also liked how the foundation of the story was built extravagantly and the way the story flowed perfectly with the different characters having solid personalities that eventually brought out the humor in the book.

One negative aspect would be the profanities in the book and I would not recommend the book to sensitive readers affected by such.I would also not recommend it to children as it contains explicit scenes like killing of many people.

I would rate this book (b)4 out of 4.(/b) as it has been well-edit and the level of creativity in this book is impeccable. The flow of the story is very good and well understood.

For all the science-fiction and fantasy lovers, I would highly recommend this book for it is memorable story. This is the first book of the Voulhire series and the cliffhanger at the end of the story would make one want more of it.
