Review of Reconfigurement
This is a book that addresses the matter of planning for the future. The author, E. Alan Fleischauer, is aiming at helping the reader plan for the life after retirement. He is giving insights on what one should do, in order to find life bearable after retirement. Moreover, he is specifically addressing those who have an income source, that is, a job or a business. He says that one should choose what they love doing. He begins by giving directions to where one can find resources, for instance, websites where one can get tested for career fitness. As part of his insight about planning for the future he suggests life insurance where he mentions term insurance, universal life insurance, annuities among others. E. Alan Fleischauer addresses matters of social security. Another thing is investment choices where he suggests municipal bonds, government bonds and treasury bills among other investment choices that may be of the reader’s interest. 401k and IRA. Medicare and Medicaid - for these two cases, Mr. Fleischauer talks about hospital coverage, Medicare advantage, coverage for prescription drugs and others, for Medicare, while for Medicaid he explains health care costs and other matters concerned. He also dwells on issues surrounding wills and trusts. In all these topics he gives explanations to each such that the reader is able to get directions on what to do or where to look.
Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead is book authored will a great sense of concern for the reader; the author expresses so much concern for the reader as he tries not to let them into boredom. He fixes jokes here and there alongside humorous words. This is what I’ve loved most about Mr. Fleischauer’s piece. Another positive aspect that I noticed is that he has given the shortest and very comprehensible explanations to all the fields that he addresses. Furthermore, Mr. Fleischaeur has supported what he put down by giving his sources like, www.WebCe, www.careerplanner.com, www.123test.com, www.jokojokes and upjoke.com for the jokes he has added in the book. I find this quite informative as a reader is able to dig more and verify and besides find more information from the sources stated.
There is nothing negative that I found in the book, since the abbreviations which may raise the reader’s eyebrow have all been explained. Everything is written in plain language that is very coherent to precisely anyone, that is to say, a reader does not have to belong to a particular group, say, career, to understand what is in question.
I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars since I encountered no errors and the author laid out the explanations properly. Additionally, he has used a general language, by this I mean, he has based his writing on general terms such that one does not need to search for the meaning of various words or abbreviations. Literally anyone is able to read and understand and even find direction.
I recommend this book to anyone seeking financial insights especially on investment choices and life insurance plans because the author has given very good explanation about everything he has covered, and someone can find direction about planning ahead.
