Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is an interesting book for children. This is the eighth book in the Inca Cat Detective series.

Missy has been invited by Le Cordon Blue to be one of the judges of the patisserie competition. This competition is set to take place in South Korea. Inca and her friends, who are part of her detective agency, travel with Missy. Missy is excited to present her special cheese to international judges. Trouble ensues when the cheese bag goes missing. Inca and her team have to save the day. Do they have what it takes? Their services are needed in North Korea for another mission. What has gone wrong? Grab the book to find out.

I love the pictures the author added to the book. It is very colorful. The children are sure to love it. The book is also very entertaining, educative, and filled with adventures. The author describes each animal breed vividly. I could picture each character while reading.

I love the author's writing style. It is simple and easy to understand. There are a few French terms in the book. The author found it thoughtful to explain their meanings to help readers understand. The book is written as Inca's diary. It is written from Inca's point of view. The book also teaches the importance of teamwork and friendship. The characters clearly portray these traits.

There is nothing I dislike about this book. It is both adventurous and entertaining. I found no grammatical or typographical errors while reading due to its professional editing. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The author did an excellent job.

Children from ages four to twelve would love to read this book. It contains suspense that children will find appealing. It can also be read as a bedtime story.
