Review of Toni the Superhero

[Following is a volunteer review of "Toni the Superhero" by R.D. Base.]
This is a great children’s book. It was at a greats reading level for a young child to understand. The illustration matched perfectly with the sentences of the story line. The story also had great examples of the child playing. I didn’t see any issues with this book or storyline. I would recommend this book to a young child who is learning how to read or even a baby looking at books while the parent is reading to them.
I also liked how the book showed how Tony was helping his mom with the dishes. That can show a child to help out around the house. It also showed how Tony likes to help around the house I think that is a great example for a child to see that a superhero also likes to do their chores to help out.I also really liked how there was diversity in the book as well. A lot of books typically don’t like to put lots of different races in the story frame. This book showed lots of different children who were also different colors. I think that is very important for a young kid to see and know.
I also noticed that it showed Tony eating healthy foods. That can also be a positive impact for a child to know that a superhero likes to eat fruit as well. Where sometimes some children do not like to eat healthy foods. Overall it shows Tony is a great superhero and how he likes to help. Tony can be a positive superhero for children to look up to
