It's not enough to work hard, save hard and invest. The concept of reconfigurement also demands that we plan for retirement and not just make decisions based on impulse. Planning is independent of what stage or category we belong to, everyone needs a plan. Things are evolving and as such, we should evolve with time. Saving and investing for the short-term purpose may fall apart. It's not enough to invest in assets. A proper reconfigurement plan should involve pre and post-retirement plans to include working even after 65. What plans are you making?

Reconfigurement begins with the income you have. You can't think of reconfigurement when you don't have income. You need income to plan for the future. Reconfigurement theory demands that you find your fit and that can be achieved by carrying out an appraisal of your personality. With that, you'd know what career path to tow. Analyze your top five career choices, that would help in possible career decision-making. E. Alan Fleischauer made the book more pragmatic, in that he refers to sites where assessments, personality, and value checks can be carried out. He also introduces readers to web tools needed in reconfigurement. He further restated the need for insurance policies; whether life or health, assets and what investment to make. While going through information about the book to ascertain whether or not to review it, I came across a line that stated that it's for people of age 40 and above, but come to think of it, the earlier you start planning for the kind of life you want to live, the brighter your future. So reconfigurement is for people of all ages who are determined to lead a successful life and who do not want to be taken unawares by retirement.

I found Alan's use of some stylish writing and slang very fascinating, though for the younger generation. It may come off as offensive to older people reading the book. Alan also made the book feel as if he's having a one-on-one conversation with the reader.

There was no use of profane, vulgar, or obscene words and no action suggested such in the book. There were also no typographical, spelling, or grammatical errors in the book to the best of my knowledge. I'd therefore rate the book 4 out of 4 stars because it was exceptionally well edited.

I would recommend reconfigurement for every person (young and old) who wants a promising life and future and who wants to make a difference in his/her generation.
