Man Mission is a novel written by Eytan Uliel. It is an adventurous story about four friends who, despite all odds, keep to their yearly custom of undertaking grueling activities outside of their comfort zones. It's a beautiful story that highlights the importance of friendship and family. The story unfolds from the perspective of an unnamed narrator.

The story began when the protagonist and his friends were in law school. They shared a dream between themselves of traveling the world and enjoying the experiences the different locations would provide. It would be three years later before this dream would become a reality. At this point, they each had a job and a significant other attached to them, but they still took about four to seven days each year to go on an adventure in the wild. Each adventure demands that they take on the toughest and most manly tasks they can find. They referred to this annual adventure as "Man Mission." For these four friends, Man Mission was all about reconnecting with their masculine sides and being free from the burdens of their regular lives.

I have nothing unfavorable to say about this book. For me, it was perfect in every aspect. I loved the way the author uses it to bring many issues concerning this modern society to light. We see the protagonist's struggles, trying to conform to society's standard of who a man should be, even when most of those standards seem to clash violently with the person he was striving to be. It dives into the struggles he faced with his wife and the importance of communication in any relationship. Even though they both desired to be loved and valued, their inability to express these feelings set them at odds with one another.

I liked how realistic the whole reading experience was. The author put a lot of effort into developing the characters. They were your everyday kind of guys, bound by their common struggle with midlife crises. The protagonist is frequently the target of numerous jokes. This is mainly because of his own goofy nature. I liked the humor woven into the narrative. An example was when he was displaying his parkour moves to his friends and he broke his ankle. I was laughing so hard I cried. His faults and clumsiness just made him a loveable guy to me.

Man Mission was both inspiring to read and easy to relate to. The hilarious escapades of these four friends had me glued to the book. I would rate it a solid 4 out of 4 stars. The editing was properly done, as I did not find any typos or grammatical errors anywhere. I would suggest this book to anyone looking to embark on their own travel trip; they might get ideas from this book.
