A walk through the grapes by David Jackson is a fictional work of art comprising 23 chapters. It focuses on the life of a young man.

Jace Grazer is returning home having failed at both his dream and career.
About two years ago, he left the small town in which he grew up, on a bad note. Cutting ties with his family, lover, and the town entirely with a mission to pursue his dreams.
A complicated relationship with his family and ex-lover is not all he is to deal with as things take a mysterious turn following his return.
With the murder of a town local and the inexplicable circumstances surrounding who is responsible, arises a mystery in the small town.
There are a lot of unanswered questions regarding the case. Soon, Jace begins to believe that his family is more involved in the case than they claim.
As the cops continue their investigations, Jace's growing suspicion that his family is hiding something rises, and he decides to look into things himself to discover the truth. But what exactly is the truth?

David Jackson does an excellent job of captivating the attention of the audience with amazing suspense that will keep you tense and make you skim to find out the next turn of events.

I particularly appreciated how well the author portrayed the image of a family to be beautifully imperfect. Even with the constant fights and disagreements, that occurred in Jace's family. They never stopped sticking up for one another and they displayed a great amount of love and the extent to which they could go for one another.

I liked how easy it was to read and that it is fast-paced.
The diction is nothing too complicated as the words are simple and the flow of the plot is smooth as well.
Even with the regular use of flashbacks I never for once felt lost.

I love that the plot was filled with unexpected twists and turns that I did not anticipate. This made it difficult for me to predict and made sure there were no boring moments.

I do not dislike anything about this book. As I was fully immersed in it.

I rate this novel 4 out of 4 stars. This novel is exceptionally well edited as I found no errors.
Also, I enjoyed everything about it.

This book would be perfect for lovers of a good mystery that will keep you formulating theories and those who are fans of plot twists and unexpected turns.
