We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is really good. It's been a while since I read a book with genre in fantasy and I'm extremely elated with my choice.
A young man escapes from his war-torn homeland and ends up in Voulhire famous for its peace and prosperity. His plan is simple: take over his uncle's business and settle into a quiet life in a small town. But something strange is happening in Voulhire. Mysterious and terrifying events are happening across the kingdom that could turn this simple plan into an impossible dream.

In this series, the author introduces readers to a world where both the natural and the supernatural coexist. I love the inclusion of a map of this magical world where the reader can visualize this impalpable world. The book has a multifaceted plot, which I'm sure will be revealed as the series continues. The book introduces us to the mighty Voulhire kingdom, entering its golden age where the elements of wealth, culture, and science in a rapidly changing world. It is a story of power and revenge. The residents are seen fighting for an identity and faith, and magic, each in their own greedy way, making promises of a perfect world.

The book begins with the protagonist's point of view, but reading multiple characters comes into play, leaving the reader mesmerized as to who the main character really is. I especially like how the author fully builds the "supposed" villain and only introduces the villain at the three-quarter mark. A glimpse of the story's villainous side made me wonder about my quick judgment and the underlying notions of many other important characters.

Short chapters with titles for each chapter on which the narrative focuses makes the re. The author has a way of using words that help the reader visualize the story and make the reader feel uncomfortable when he throws a rocking plane into the beautifully drawn sky. I especially like the contrasting personalities of the different characters and how well they complement and harmonize with each other. I also like the simple, layman language the author uses, it makes me feel like the story is set in our own present world.

I am really impressed with the author on how he has taken the story to a next level making the reader travel all along through the book. I liked the book so much to an extent where I couldn’t find any fault with the book. There exists nothing in this book that disappointed me.
I would like to give the book a rating 5 out of 5 because Matthew Tysz created a new world for me, and I can't wait to continue the series.
