We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first installment of the We are Voulhire series, which is a fantasy novel. In the land of Princes, where the book begins, the governing officials don't appear to be doing a good job. People would rather not live there for the rest of their lives, and our protagonist feels the same way. He always wanted to leave, and now he has the chance to do so. It is expected that Galen Bray will inherit his uncle's forge and carry on his uncle's business now that he has passed away. Galen sets foot in Voulhire for the first time. Rowan, the executor of his uncle's estate, is introduced to him and is meant to help him acclimate to Voulhire; however, they quickly become good friends. Meldorath is seeking retribution, and a terrorist organization called the Riva Rohavi is gathering in secret, waiting for the right time to strike. As a result, trouble is simmering beneath the surface of this prosperous kingdom.

The map that was included in the book to describe the various regions of Voulhire's country was the first thing I appreciated. I could therefore easily visualize the relative locations of each city in my mind. I also appreciated how the author infused a sense of ambiguity throughout the narrative, leaving me guessing as to what would happen next. Likewise, I liked the plot and the way that events unfolded. The plot was intriguing, and the events worked well together. From the first to the last page, I was completely engrossed. Each character and event added something fresh to the story, which made it more engaging. I must praise the author for the excellent characterization. Each character was meticulously and patiently crafted by him. The author made sure to use the characters in a captivating and interesting way.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book. It was well-written and appealing to read. Although the pacing was slow in the beginning, aside from that, I enjoyed the book and had no trouble reading it. The glossary of names and terms included in the book also helped me understand the storyline. I am glad that I found such an engaging book that kept me curious throughout.

The creative construction and flawless polishing of a complex and captivating story left me feeling incredibly impressed. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was professionally edited. As a result, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this volume for readers who enjoy fiction stories with magic, action, and suspense.
