Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula follows the adventures of Inca and his detective friends in South Korea. After Missy, Inca's humanoid mom, is selected to be one of the judges at the French Patisserie competition, the detective agency accompanies the humans.

During their stay in South Korea, the team tries to ensure that Enzo, a rival chef, does not steal Missy's cheese. They also attempt to reunite a divided family and end up having an amazing adventure. Can Inca and the detective agency prevent Enzo from stealing the cheese? These and many more questions are answered in this book by R.F. Kristi.

This book is written from the first-person point of view. It develops at a fast pace and tries to instill in the reader the vital lessons of friendship and teamwork. This is one of the things I enjoyed about this book. Despite being part of a series, this book can be read without referring to the preceding books. The plot of this book is relatively easy, and the pictures that the author makes available to the reader make reading this book very interesting.

I learned a bit about Korea and bits of Korean culture and traditions. This is the educational aspect of this book. The author tries to enlighten the reader on some of the cultures of the Korean people. There is also an underlying theme of friendship and family. However, the main themes of this book are unity and teamwork.

I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I rated this book so highly because it is an interesting read, although I found it to contain a few grammatical errors that I would chalk up to being typos. Furthermore, I did not encounter anything that I would consider a negative aspect of this book or anything that hampered my enjoyment of it. I will recommend this book to children between the ages of 4 and 9.
