In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All is a beautifully written book by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes that is the ultimate self-help book focusing on a person's spiritual journey. The author begins the book by mentioning the many problems we see around the world, problems like hunger, poverty, obesity, alcoholism, etc. But he also tries to provide simple solutions for the same, but they are not that simple to execute in real life. He has explained what is one person’s true self, their personality, clothing, job, experience does not make the person, it can mould the person but he is much more than that which transcends the time and space. Then the author explains how one person can achieve inner peace. Loving oneself and loving others are both important, and they can be expressed in a variety of ways and through a variety of actions. All these lessons and steps mentioned in the book are ways to convey the message that each person deserves inner peace, which in turn not only helps us but also helps others. Inner peace will not appear one day, but it is a journey we need to follow that allows us to conquer our struggles, and this book takes you to the nooks and crannies of many questions we face on that journey and answers them. The author mentions that we think that the grass is greener on the other side, but that is not the case, the grass will always be greener where we water and nurture it.

The book demonstrates that the materialistic world is only limited by our perception; once we begin to look beyond these things, we will discover a whole new world of acceptance, humility, and spiritual journey. It was difficult to read the book at times because it delves into concepts and context that I had not read before. But despite that, it was a wonderful read. Everyone can go back and read this book again and again to absorb all the contents. I feel that this book can be divided into different volumes or levels for better understanding. The book also mentions that one should always take responsibility for their actions, whether the decision is good or bad, whether it is right or wrong; if you have decided something, stick with it, as this makes us human, and not everyone will do the right thing.

I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it is essential for each person to connect with their spiritual self in order to live their life.

This book is unquestionably appropriate for young teenagers and adults looking for meaning in their lives. Each person should read this as it will make us collectively kinder to one another. Reading this book will definitely make a difference in the reader’s life.

When a person truly comes to terms with the fact that they are not what they wear, how much money they have, or where they live, it is very liberating. This usually allows them to be less concerned with what others think.
