Have you ever wondered what it's like to live in a society where artificial intelligence governs your daily life? In Craig W. Stanfill's Terms of Service, this is the norm in the world Kim lives in. As an AI trainer for The Artificial Intelligence Company, Kim lives a rather mundane life. She wakes up to go to work, attends parties, and occasionally goes on romantic dates. Kim, on the other hand, grows tired of routines. She accepts a task one day to participate in numerous anti-cult crackdowns. However, the questions about its moral implications start getting into Kim's head.

Terms of Service is very reminiscent of George Orwell's 1984. Both novels are similar in themes. However, the former novel takes a more futuristic turn. It is a dystopian tale where the artificial intelligence that we know today has developed so much that it has become so integrated into people's lives. What I like the most about this book is that it does something that not a lot of sci-fi dystopian novels do. In the first part of the narrative, the author takes us through Kim's daily routines. I like how the book fleshes out the main character first before diving into the intricacies of the storyline. It creates an emotional resonance for the reader, which I'm always looking for in a novel, regardless of the genre. I feel like a lot of people will relate to Kim's troubles as a working adult seeking meaning in life.

It's also interesting to read how technology becomes integrated into even the most menial tasks, like waking up and preparing breakfast. When it's included in the dating game, the narrative becomes all the more exciting. However, while the book demonstrates how AI will make our lives easier, it also suggests the negative consequences of being constantly monitored.

The book has a nice organization. It follows a storyline that flows smoothly, despite the slow pacing in the beginning. The author is very descriptive, allowing one to visualize this dystopian world more vividly. I didn't find any errors in the text, so I assumed that the narrative had excellent editing quality.

My rating for this book will be 5 out of 5 stars. I don't have any issues to mention, as I like everything about the book. I like how the book guarantees that the storyline follows a three-dimensional protagonist. With much delight, I will recommend this book to those who enjoy indulging in dystopian literary worlds. This book has everything you're looking for in the genre.

I found it thrilling the way AI was integrated even in the smallest aspect of life as well!
