Man Mission by Eytan Uliel follows the adventures of four friends over 15 years. Their rules for travel are simple. Do all the "manly" activities that require physical endurance, like miles of kayaking, hiking, and biking. Eat every exotic food you can get your hands on and sleep anywhere, even under the stars. Each chapter follows the guys on a different adventure in exotic locations, and the stories are told in parallel with what is happening in their lives back home. Since this is an annual event, we see what happens to this group of friends year after year and witness their "grown-up" moments, like buying their first house and getting married. Each of the trips has somehow helped them overcome some of life's difficulties, more than they could have imagined.

What I love about this book is their friendship and interactions with each other. All four friends have different personalities, so it is interesting to see how they cope with their lives as they go through similar situations. Other than that, the author does an excellent job of portraying the confusion of the main character, who is torn between his obligations and the life he would like to lead. This confusion is caused by the differences in the generations' ways of living. The earlier generation enjoys life in the corporate world, where you can usually get a good job, climb the corporate ladder, and raise a family. The main character, on the other hand, hates feeling stuck and wants to try something new. The author manages to evoke emotions and make us care about these characters.

There is nothing that I dislike about this book. There are a lot of swear words, but not enough to detract from the reading experience and make the conversations between the friends and their banter more realistic.

I thoroughly enjoyed the read and am glad to rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book is professionally edited with a few very minor errors.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves to travel and loves adventure. It makes you want to travel to exotic places and discover many new things. The book is more suitable for a mature audience as it contains profanity and some sexual innuendo. At the beginning of each chapter, they mention the places they visited. I recommend anyone who wants to read the book to first look at the pictures of the places visited because some of the places are simply breathtaking. Visual aids can make the reading experience even more enjoyable.
