Inca, the detective cat, and friends venture to South Korea to witness a cooking contest. What came out of their adventure?

The book Cat Detective in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is a children's book and part of a series. This is a cute story, more of a fable, of an Inca who goes to South Korea along with her furry friends and their human owner (mom). Mom has been invited to judge a cooking competition between some chefs. The animals are faced with adventures. They have to use their detective instinct to solve it. Find out how Inca and her friends go about it.

I love the book cover. It is attractive. A child will be easily captivated/intrigued by the colors and will want to pick them up! I love animals, and I find the pretty colorful (rainbow) dress the adorable detective cat on the cover page is wearing "catching." That cat is also holding a magnifying glass, which symbolizes "search" and "discovery." Lovely!

The author touched on some animals. I love that. For instance, Moi Inca is described as the head of the detective, while Charlotte is described as a beloved and intelligent hamster, and so on with other adorable friends. The author also illustrated the family tree on the initial page, so the reader is carried along. Brilliant! I also appreciate the use of colorful illustrations throughout the rest of the book, which is typical of any good children's story. Awesome!

I like the font style used; it is child-friendly. The diction is appropriate for young children. The use of my favorite narrative style is appealing. The second-person narrative technique plays a sweet role in letting the reader know the "total mind" of the furry one! How brilliant! The book was error-free too.

There was nothing to fault with this book. Therefore, I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to young children, lovers of pets and animals, lovers of adventures, and even adults.
