Review of Terms of Service

[Following is a volunteer review of "Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill.]
The fictional book Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is set in a future society where artificial intelligence (AI) is used to watch, record, and govern every aspect of a citizen's life. This is a magnificent new world where technology makes everything seem effortless and almost magical.
Kim lived in a plain residence and was required to dress in gender-neutral pale beige, pastel blue, or pale green clothing just like everyone else. Every aspect of life, including food selection, companionship and birthing, discussion subjects, music, and entertainment, was monitored and evaluated, and the concepts of freedom and privacy were foreign concepts. The AI and the Hierarchy were merciless and quick to punish even the smallest infraction or act of rebellion. The ridiculousness of a supposedly harmonious, inclusive, and equal society was appalling. When Kim encountered Kimberly, her most recent AI assignment, she felt her fury erupting and her need to escape growing. Will Kim be able to solve the problem in time? How is she supposed to take on powerful foes who rule the very world she lives in? Find out these and more details on Terms of Service.
One of the things I love about the book is its magical atmosphere. Everything can be done with just a voice command, and the appliances have self-awareness and behave like living things. The book's sardonic nature appealed to me as well. Kim's relationship with the AI and her household appliances was amusing and touching, and it was fascinating to see how her character developed throughout the course of the story.
This book was so exceptional that I could find no flaw in it. Everything in this book intrigued me, from the plot and characters to the scenery. My favorite feature of the book is how accurate the description of the bland and neutral environment is. Humans have feminine pronouns and numerals for their second names, and the days range from Oneday to Sevenday. The businesses are also unidentified; they are just referred to as the food, shoe, or clothing companies. The sequel promises even more action, as Kim will face even more trials in her quest for self-discovery.
The book contained no grammatical or spelling errors, the sexual content was minimal, and the storyline was intriguing. Consequently, I'm rating it 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to readers interested in science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, and romance novels. This book blends these genres beautifully.
