Donny and Mary Grace's California adventures by Catherine A. Pepe is a Children's book about a grandma Gang Mystery and the transition of change that Donny Miller and her sister Mary Grace had to go through after their parents moved to Africa from Wichita. Donny is Mary's brother who was diagnosed with a down syndrome. This book shares with us the Miller family's acceptance of Donny and the journey of two siblings and the moments they have spent together. The book is only 112 pages long and divided finely into seventeen chapters.

This could be the best book for children. I valued the language which the author used, it was simple to comprehend. Not only can children enjoy listening to it, but they could be able to read the story by themselves without getting lost. It is rare to find children's books which are based on a true story. Hence, I found this story quite perfect for teaching kids how they could approach life circumstances if they happen to find themselves facing situations that the characters mentioned in the story faces.

I always tell people that old or young "please and thank you" are the two best words that carries a person forth with honor and dignity. Thus, I appreciated how the author created a space for a part in the story where she emphasized how important it is to say Please and thank you.

The lessons that it provides are good for children to grasp and keep in mind. Considering that the only thing that I feel like the writer missed about the book was the picture illustrations. It would have been greater if they were present.

This book could be a great read for mothers of teenagers. It could provide them with some thoughts on how they could deal with them. I extend my recommendation to children between the age of 10 and 14. I didn't come across any error within the book, as a result I conclude to say it was exceptionally edited. This book gets a rating of 5 out of 5 from me, course I loved it and how it is perfectly suited for its audience.

There are many valuable lessons found in this book. The biggest one seems to be acceptance of other people with different life circumstances. Unfortunately, please and thank you are not present in much of today’s world.

This book is full of great and interesting lessons that I have learned. The ability to tolerate other people with different life issues is the most. I have also learned the two powerful words from this book review.

The most important one ofcourse 😌. I found it very great for the writer to target children for this book. When children are taught well on how to accept people in any condition they may be in, life becomes a better place for them.

It is a great attire to be worn every single day hey. They transform an attitude of a person into being respectful, and that is the best way to live with others.

I must say I haven't seen a pure form of sibling love emitting from characters as it does from Donny and Mary Grace. I love that Mary Grace does not limit Donny to the things he can do or even consider him as disabled. I love everything about this book. Thanks for the review.

Sometimes I feel disrespect when my little niece don't say please when she orders something, and without say thank you when I offered what she commands. These two magical words are important, but I think children or even adults forgot to value them sometimes. Thanks for this reminder, and your review is compelling!

Two kids moving from Wichita to Africa is quite the adventure. I’m not sure where California from the title of the book fits in? Please and thank you are very important. This book sounds like illustrations would be a good accompaniment. Thanks for the recommendation.
