[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]

Wherever we are living in this world, money does matter, especially in old age, and is a vital part of every individual. Why? E. Alan Fleischauer explains how your "income" plays an important role as we grow older in his book, Reconfigurement. As the years go by, we are getting older. Our future includes "old age," but are we ready, especially when we reach our retirement years?

Throughout the book, the author elaborates that Reconfigurement is about "planning ahead." Whether we like it or not, "the aging years" will come. People do a lot of jobs, but they seldom plan what their own retirement journey will be like. In this book, there are "retirement strategies" that will help every US citizen (or not) utilize their own "working efforts" and "income." There are several examples of people who help emphasize the importance of income and insurance for disability, medical care, or death. Plus, it has supporting information about statistical data for jobs, earnings, investments, or insurances, to name a few. 

The good qualities of this book are that it explains why we must not neglect planning our retirement. I learned that a good retirement plan is essential for the aging years, with proper health care, pension benefits, and a better retirement lifestyle. I like the author's way of explaining how to reconfigure finances. Of course, it basically starts with income and how to manage the family's needs while planning for the retirement years. A crisis may occur, but with the right planning techniques, it will be solved accordingly.

I'm happy to rate Reconfigurement 5 out of 5 stars. Why? I got reminded that the best asset in life is the "ability to earn money." Financial planning is very important, which I sometimes neglect to do. I enjoyed the career assessment of my personality test the most. I'm happy that my career choice is the job I enjoy and love. Lastly, I begin listing the possible expectations for my aging days. 

The topic has a smooth flow embedded with humor and jokes. (Sad to say, I least like the jokes because I can't easily grasp them.) The style of writing is excellent, with a good outline of the topic. It seems that the editing is good because I only see minor mishaps, which attests to the fact that the book is professionally edited. 

I recommend this book for those who want to engage early in paying for health care before retirement. There are several types of life insurance, and they are well detailed in this book. Moreover, those who want to understand the benefits and disadvantages of the Social Security Administration will gain more knowledge about the system. Lastly, anyone who wants to start planning their retirement days will enjoy this book, even if they are a young adult.

Great review and this sounds like a helpful book when planning for retirement.

Most people do not have retirement plans and put off this issue until they are close to retirement age. This is definitely a big mistake. Thank you for this motivational report that encourages people to take the initiative and plan their lives in weakness before strength.

I am getting ready to retire in a few years, so I'm too late for this book, but several younger family members could benefit from it. My parents never, ever talked about money with us growing up, but they did something right because they were comfortably well off when they each retired. I'm trying to change that dynamic. I also believe that millennials are looking at a completely different financial landscape Boomers. Thank you for your review.

I strongly believe that one should plan and save money for one's retirement life through savings and insurance plans. I would go through the book at a later date.

People are so busy in their lives that they tend to delay planning for their retirement. But what about planning for next week? Most people wait until a crisis happens before they react. In America, one can end up having a miserable life after an unforeseen calamity if they are not prepared for such a thing. You did a good thing by promoting Reconfigurement. Have a great day.
