[Following is a volunteer review of "Bluewater Walkabout" by Tina Dreffin.]

Imagine going on adventures with your entire family, facing your fears together, and making lifelong memories. This is what Tina and Peter Dreffin's life was like, as described in their memoir Bluewater Walkabout: Into Africa.

Bluewater Walkabout: Into Africa by Tina Dreffin is a memoir that documents the voyages, adventures, and travails of Tina and her family. After the September 11 incident, Tina and her husband Peter decide to go on a world adventure together with their two sons, Adam and Warren, before the boys turn 18. They sold their outdated vessel and replaced it with a catamaran that is better suited for the task. They intend to set sail towards the Caribbean from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The two kids of their family friends, Sam and Gary, accompany the group on this once-in-a-lifetime journey.

It was encouraging to see Tina hoping to discover spiritual fulfillment and healing through these expeditions. However, there were many unforeseen circumstances and potentially fatal situations along the way. While enroute, Tina has difficulties dealing with the four adolescent lads while Peter is busy steering their boat. She also needs to figure out how to handle her fears. What risks will they encounter in these dangerous waters? How can the team enjoy the splendor of these adventures while surviving the perils that lie ahead? In this book, Tina shares fascinating information about her upbringing and struggles, which made me feel empathetic towards her. She then goes on to weave a touching and captivating tale about her journeys and difficult experiences, including the death of her unborn daughter, overcoming depression, and finding the will to brave the wild waves. The author wove the story of her journey and quest for self-discovery into the account of her family's sailing adventure. I admired the power and love that united their family, as well as her courage and character.

The author gave a clear and impressive account of each of their expeditions. I appreciated the way she captured both their happy and sad times. She had a positive outlook in the face of difficulties, and for that I admired her. It was fascinating and fun to read this book. She delivered honest, engrossing, and thrilling descriptions of her family's adventures. I had the impression of sailing with them as I read along, and occasionally I wished my family and I could embark on an adventure like that. She expertly used images to transport the reader to the nearby woods. I thought I might see a peek at the magnificence of Africa. Her vivid descriptions gave me the impression that I was looking at a painting in my head. I enjoyed reading every page of this book. The only little issue I had was the continuous use of flashbacks, which was a little distracting but not a big issue at all.

I did not notice any errors while reading, and that goes to show that this book was exceptionally well edited. I found a sense of fulfillment as I read this book, and I learned some lessons like facing my fears head on and living life to the fullest because tomorrow isn't assured. This book was a perfect read, and I would give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to people who love adventure and are looking for a means of finding closure.

I enjoyed reading Tina's adventure story. I like how she was able to perform well as a wife, mother and writer. Your review well details the book. Well done!!!

Tina and her family has faced quite a lot and they are bound to face more in this adventure. When I read the book, I saw myself following them to everywhere national and historic site they went. It was amazing.

The trauma Tina Dreffin faced before her marriage to Peter is sad, I am glad she was able to survive such a traumatic event and be able to live happily ever after.

Tina Dreffin is one of my favorite authors to read. Her writing style is very incredible. The way she narrated and described her experience traveling on the bluewater into Africa, made me feel as though I'm on her ship sailing with her and her family.

Being able to read a book and feel like a part of the adventure and journey is a great touch to any book. Tina Dreffin obviously did justice in this department. It is great that she also captured the happy and sad times.

I'm not a fan of memoirs, but this is one I would love to read.

Bluewater Walkabout by Tina Dreffin is a memoir of her personal experiences and some encounters her family faced. Their voyage into the Pacific is everything beautiful.

Tina is my favorite character in this book. I love how she was able to overcome her past and face the future fearlessly. Good job on this book.

Trina had the perfect childhood. It was only one that one could wish for. I wasn't allowed out much while little that's the reason why I guess.

Going to a trip for spiritual fulfillment is something I don't really understand. But as she captured both their sad and happy times it seems like a family trip.

I enjoyed the book and found it filled with adventure! The author's willingness to share both the positive and negative aspects of her journey is commendable and adds depth to the overall reading experience.

The book is filled with moments of awe and wonder, as Dreffin explores pristine coral reefs, encounters majestic marine creatures, and witnesses breathtaking sunsets on the horizon.
