Review of Terms of Service

[Following is a volunteer review of "Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill.]

Craig W. Standfill’s, Terms of service, is the work of a genius. A hook buries itself deep within the first two pages and quickly becomes an edge-of-the-seat page-turner. Every aspect of this brilliant dystopian has a purpose, every word will have you snared in its intricate trap, and if you are a fan of shattering through the typical cliché of Artificial Intelligence, this book is for you. Craig W. Stanfill’s interpretation of an AI-run world is nothing short of mind-blowing.
Throughout Terms of Service, you will follow Kim on her journey of self-discovery and search for the truth in a world built on lies. As her journey progresses you will find yourself saying, “Just one more chapter,” until you inevitably reach the end. You will meet new characters that you hate, love, and don’t entirely understand but I urge you to pay attention. Everything has a meaning, so don’t write it off just yet.
The world-building is spectacular, there are no holes in the plot. It was gratifying to read through the book with no random jumps in the plot. Everything was able to progress smoothly through every word, every paragraph, and every page. Another strong point is character-building. Watching as Kim grows into herself and not the hollow person she was at the beginning is refreshing. Despite her trauma, she manages to grow into a force to be reckoned with.
Unfortunately, I do have one snag, the main conflict takes quite a while to be introduced. To me, this isn’t enough to dock it a star because there are still other conflicts that Kim needs to overcome in the meantime. It is not as if the beginning is senseless, it is still an important part of understanding Kim and what motivates her.
Finally, I would have to rate this book with the highest rating, it is one of the best books that I have ever read. There are many scenes that will have you holding your breath while you read each word eagerly, as well as scenes that will stun you completely. I hope everyone enjoys Terms of Service, By Craig W. Stanfill as much as I have.
