[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is an amazing book for children about a family. This family comprises two humans, four cats, a dog, and a hamster. The humans are Missy and Solo, and they are the parents of the animals. The cats are Inca, Fromage, Cara, and Monk. The dog’s name is Terrence, while the hamster's name is Charlotte. The animals formed a group known as the Cat Detectives, with Inca as their leader. Every animal has unique abilities.

Missy, who is a professional chef, just got invited to Korea to be a judge in a cheese-making competition. She is also expected to present her cheese creation to the chefs there. The event will be attended by both North and South Koreans to foster peace between the two nations. However, Enzo, a rival chef, has a plan to sabotage Missy's cooking and destroy her career. The Cat Detectives also find out that their Korean host has not been with her sister for a year because the sister could not leave North Korea. Will they be able to get her back and stop Enzo's plan? Find out!

There were many things I liked about this book. Even though it is the eighth book in the Inca Cat Detective series, it can be read alone. It is both entertaining and informative. I learnt from the book so many fun facts about Korea and their culture. Also, due to the way the author employed graphical illustrations and descriptive writing, the book was better enjoyed. Teamwork was a strong theme in this children’s book. All the missions they undertook were successful because of the input of all the members of the team. This is something a child can learn.

The book contained suspenseful scenes. There was also a threat of danger in some scenes. This kept the reader on the edge of his seat. The book was fast-paced. The characters were well developed. Even some characters that looked unnecessary at the beginning proved to be important in the book. The book was exceptionally well edited, as I found no errors.

There was nothing I did not like about this book. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. My rating is based on how much fun and exciting I found the book to be. I recommend it to children older than 7 years. Adults who love stories about animals can also read the book.

Entertaining and informative is a great blend for a children's book. I also like that it can be read as a standalone. From your review, this seems like a book I would pick up to read. Nice review.

I love this book. The illustrations are so cute and picaresque. The story comes with great moral lessons for children to learn from. Inca the furry team always work in unity to do good.

This sounds and looks like an amazing children's book with an amazing title, cover page, and plot. I wonder if Enzo will be able to carry out his nefarious plans to spoil Missy's cheese. I am looking forward to reading this book.
