[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
“Broadly speaking, human beings may be divided into three classes: those who are toiled to death, those who are worried to death, and those who are bored to death.”
—WINSTON CHURCHILL

A lot of people tend to live in the moment and go with the flow, believing that trying to fit your life into a box by planning out the way you live, is stifling and stressful. In some ways, I do agree that it is good to be spontaneous and carefree to an extent (After all, we only live once.). But the fact remains that; Failure to plan is planning to fail. Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, written by E. Alan Fleischauer, is a book that serves as a guide on how to plan for the future and set important things in motion.
The book mainly focuses on financial aspects of life, for example; savings, pension, retirement, insurance, and many more. I liked the fact that the author took the time to explain the processes of the best ways to properly navigate through these issues and tackle them. He also made sure that no matter what income bracket you may belong to, or what your occupation may be, you're able to understand and apply these teachings in real life.
Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, features facts and even makes use of statistics to prove the accuracy of the techniques and tools that the author talks about using. The silly jokes here and there was a nice touch as well. They made this short self-help novel fun and smooth to read. What is usually a serious and somewhat depressing topic, was turned into a factual and light novel by the use of these little funny comments.
I would rate Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead, 5 out of 5 stars because of all the positive aspects mentioned above and because I did not come across any error, which means that a thorough and well-done editing process was done. I have nothing negative to say about this book. As for sexual content and strong language, there's nothing to worry about, as the book doesn't feature any of those themes.
I think young adults who are willing to learn about how to properly manage their finances and people who struggle with handling their financial responsibilities will greatly appreciate this book, so I would recommend that they give it a try.
