In the novel Man Mission by Eytan Uliel, four men make it a custom to travel for a week every year to new places. They develop a strong friendship via their travels and overcome difficulties including work-related problems, expanding families, and accidents. Their most recent excursion is described in each chapter, with happenings from their daily life interwoven. Each chapter begins with a map of the new location, and it concludes with an entry of the country visited, the location, the mode of transportation, the amount of time spent there, the accommodations, and, finally, the injuries incurred. The four do not let setbacks stop them from completing the task. As the story progresses, we watch the men change from impressionable young men to successful husbands and fathers.

Family, friendship, and sacrifice are all major elements in the novel, wrapped up in humorous experiences. When one of the guys required assistance, the others were always there. In the book, Uliel uses humor; for instance, I always found it amusing when the pink bracelet was passed to the whiniest character. The annual custom was primarily seen by the four friends as a way to escape from the ups and downs of everyday life and a chance to break from its monotony in a manly way. The adage "a change is as good as a rest" holds true.

Man Mission can teach us a priceless lesson. The main character kept questioning whether his choices were the best ones, but he nevertheless went forward. That demonstrates to us the importance of having the courage to alter our course in life. The best outcome for us and our loved ones should be our motivation to move forward and find happiness. I liked how Uliel included other cultures in the book. Every destination introduced different foods and customs. It is obvious that the author is well-versed in world affairs.

The book is enlightening since it illustrates the difficulties males face in society. Nothing about Man Mission bothers me. I found no faults in the book, which indicates that it was superbly edited and merits a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

Readers who enjoy exploration and adventure should check out the book, in my opinion. No disappointments guys. For those of us who enjoy comedy, there is also comedic stuff. If there is such a thing as a men's committee guide, this book should be in it.
