[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first installment of the We are Voulhire series. The incredible story of Galen Bray and other characters is told in the first book of the We are Voulhire series. Galen Bray moved to Voulhire, where he grew rich and carried on his uncle's business. He has had the good fortune to escape his own country by inheriting his uncle's property in the affluent and beautiful nation of Voulhire. Galen is appreciative of the chance given to him and wants to use his fresh start to create a great life. Galen Bray had never used a forge before his uncle gave one to him. During his time in the Voulhire, he interacts with several people who help him. After one of them worked as his uncle's executor while learning about the business, the two of them set out on an adventure to upgrade the forge. Soon after, they encounter numerous unexpected difficulties, and odd things begin to occur in Voulhire.
The first thing I found helpful was the map that was used to illustrate the various regions of Voulhire's nation. The relative placements of each city were therefore easily pictured in my head. Infusing a sense of uncertainty throughout the story and keeping me guessing as to what would happen next were both excellent choices on the author's part. The plot and how the events played out also appealed to me. The events fit together seamlessly, and the plot was engaging. I was absolutely engaged from the first to the last page. The story was made more interesting by the unique elements that each character and event brought to it. The author's outstanding portrayal deserves commendation, in my opinion. He worked painstakingly and carefully to create each character.
I didn't dislike any aspect of the book. A pleasure to read, the book has superb writing. It can be difficult to remember all the names and topics that are covered throughout the book, despite the fact that it contains a large cast of characters. Apart from that, I found this book to be quite enjoyable and was able to fully follow the complex plots, but it had no impact on how well I understood and comprehended this great book.
I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars because it was well written and engaging. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes; therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy, suspense, and young adults.
