[Following is a volunteer review of "Terms of Service" by Craig W. Stanfill.]
There are moments in life when the best chance or accomplishment we ever believed we had suddenly turns sour and ends up being the worst thing that has ever happened to us. This was the situation that Kim found herself in Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill.
In this book, we are introduced to the main character named Kim. Kim obtained employment with the Artificial Intelligence company which is abbreviated for AI. As she is now prohibited from enjoying freedom in every aspect of her life, a career that was meant to be like a fulfillment for her turns sour. Her entire life is completely under the control of the AI company, including who she associates with, what she eats, what she wears, where she goes, and how she spends her time. However, when she went for a bike ride with a friend named Shan, things took a different turn. At this point, Kim and her friend realized they had somehow gone out of bounds. Will she be penalized by the AI company for this? Will the enjoyable experience she went for have a greater impact on her life than the AI company? To discover more, get a copy of this book.
This book, in my opinion, was really fascinating and enjoyable to read. Several other aspects of the book appealed to me. First of all, learning about the operations in the AI company was enjoyable because I've never read a book like this before, so learning about the operations in the AI company was entertaining to begin with. I was surprised by their laws and restrictions, and I gained a lot of knowledge from them. I was puzzled by these regulations and how they govern Kim's life, but I also loved learning about them. The feminine characteristics of the characters is another feature of the book that I liked. I found this to be quite amusing because I questioned whether or not it was actually possible in a real sense. While I thought it would make the book dull, it actually added another layer of intrigue to it for me. I had a great time reading the book.
I didn't find anything in this book to be negative. From the beginning to the end, I found the book to be enjoyable. I'm very amazed by the kind of system the AI company operates. The characters and events in this book were also vividly described by the author, allowing me to picture each action as it was happening. The characters and I shared the same emotions. This further distinguished the book. This was great on the part of the author because it's uncommon to find a book that can inspire readers to see events as if they were taking place in real time. The plot was well-structured, and the writing style was excellent. I had fun reading the book.
In my opinion, this book was well-written. Additionally, I saw no faults in the book as I read it. This is to show that the book had been exceptionally edited. I give this book a solid rating of five out of five stars because of these reasons.
I recommend this book to readers who like to read books about artificial intelligence. Reading it was pretty enjoyable.
