In the book Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning, E. Alan Fleischauer provides a comprehensive guide to personal finance and planning. This self-help non-fiction book delves into important topics such as disability insurance, financial planning, retirement, and much more.

One of the book's key strengths is its focus on the importance of change, particularly regarding dissatisfaction with one's current job and work environment. The author expertly addresses this issue, providing practical advice and strategies for making positive changes in these areas. The book also delves into other critical financial areas, including life insurance and annuities, income, Social security, investment options, health care plans, and estate Wills and gifts.

The author emphasizes the importance of protecting one's ability to earn a living, which is why disability insurance is crucial. Additionally, the author notes that as Americans live longer, the need for expensive medical care in older age is becoming more prevalent, making Medicare an essential consideration for many.

The author's writing style is clear and easy to understand, making the book accessible to readers from various backgrounds. Additionally, the author includes jokes throughout the book to keep readers engaged and entertained. Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning, also includes links to websites where readers can find additional resources and references to the information presented in the book.

Overall, I found the book to be informative and engaging. The author E. Alan Fleischauer presents complex financial concepts in a way that is easy to understand, and I appreciate the inclusion of jokes and additional resources.

Additionally, the editing and proofreading of the book are well done, with only a few typos present but no profanities, which means that the book was professionally well-edited.
I give the book 5 out of 5 stars. I did not find anything to warrant removing a star from my rating.

While the book primarily aims at an American audience, readers from other countries could also find value in its content. I recommend this book to anyone currently employed and nearing retirement and self-employed individuals who want to plan for their future. It is a valuable resource for anyone looking to secure their financial future.

This book is a perfect read for anyone looking for a guide to plan their life after their 9-5 jobs. I loved that the author has a sense of humour because honestly, hooks like this can be boring to read and people will miss out on the message being passed by the author.
