I recently had the pleasure of reading "In It Together" by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes, and I must say that it was a truly transformative experience. As someone who has always struggled with feelings of disconnection and a desire for unity, I found myself constantly searching for answers to questions like "how do we live in a world where no one seems to want unity?", "what do we owe each other?", and "how can we find happiness while we are alive?" Hughes' book provided me with some much-needed perspective on these issues, and helped me to see the world in a new light.

I appreciated the author's approach to breaking down thoughts and exploring the root causes of problems, as well as his insights on happiness, the human condition, and the relationship between the body and spirit. I also found his quote about darkness and light to be thought-provoking, “That darkness isn't the enemy of light but rather its dancing partner.” Many of us see the negatives or evils of the world as an enemy to defeat, while this quote creates a better lens for us to see through. I also really appreciated the freedom given with the idea he proposes that you can create your own answers rather than having to devote your life to finding them. Overall, it seems that this book provided me with valuable insights and perspectives that helped me on my journey towards personal growth and self-discovery.

One of the things that I appreciated most about this book was Hughes' ability to break down complex thoughts and ideas until he arrived at their core. It was clear to me that he had a deep understanding of the human condition, and was able to articulate this understanding in a way that was both relatable and profound. In particular, his quote that "You cannot achieve a state of goallessness by achieving goals" really stuck with me, as it reminded me that this is simply a part of the human experience, and that we shouldn't get too caught up in the pursuit of happiness through external goals.

Another thing that I found particularly enlightening was Hughes' exploration of the relationship between the body and spirit. It was a concept that I had never really thought about before, but as I read his words, I began to see the truth in them. It was a revelation to realize that my body is temporal and contains my ego, while my current and future self or spirit are essentially the same, and that I need to separate the spirit and body in order to truly understand and heal. This was a powerful realization for me; it helped me to see that true happiness and fulfillment cannot be found in external goals or achievements, but rather in simply being present letting my spirit do the only thing it wants to do — observe. My only critique of the book would be that this lesson came so far into the book instead of within the first few chapters. I found the first half of the book to be mildly repetitive, while still packed with necessary wisdoms.

Overall, I would highly recommend "In It Together" by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes to anyone who is seeking answers to the big questions of life. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars as it is exceptionally well edited and life-changing for anyone who is ready to receive it’s truths. Whether you are struggling with feelings of disconnection or simply looking to gain a deeper understanding of the world around you, this book has something to offer. It is thought-provoking, insightful, and deeply meaningful, and I believe that it has the power to change the way you see the world.
