Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a fiction book that guides the reader's financial independence and financial planning after retirement, which needs addressing.

The book has thirteen chapters in total, and each talks about different aspects to consider in planning for retirement, apart from the first chapter, which discusses the idea behind the book. The second chapter talks about income and how it affects saving as a whole. The third chapter, however, is my first favorite because I just learned about "income protection," which I thought was the same as insurance initially. The author discussed career aptitude and made the readers carry out an assessment based on John Holland's theory of careers and vocation. I did one myself, and I must say that it was eye-opening.

I love how the author used simple, easily understood financial terms to express his point, making it easy for everyone to understand, irrespective of field or area of expertise. Also, I appreciate that the book is comprehensive in dissecting financial planning, as it touches on a good number of areas (if not all) needed to be considered and looked into for a great financial retirement plan.

Alan went ahead to talk about retirement planning and online software for retirement planning. The author also touched on social security, investment (the author's favorite), qualified plans for retirement, health insurance, the need for long-term care, grandparent plan, and part-time jobs.

One thing I loved about the book is its educative content. It is comprehensive, well broken down, dissected, and easy to understand; it is not easy to write a book about finance for the whole populace and make it understandable and relatable. Many people (literate or not) need to learn that various types of health insurance exist. I knew there was health insurance but not five different types!

The only thing I disliked about the book was its complexity and bulkiness. But that did not bother me because I love books like this, and this is an amazing work.

The author added a little bit of humor in the course of writing, which is impressive because of the type of book he wrote. This made the book more interesting and less chore for the readers.

Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a fantastic book, and it is professionally edited; I only observed an error in it. Therefore, I rate Reconfigurement 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to readers looking for stable finances after retirement. Also, I believe everyone should read the book because it is an amazing book filled with financial knowledge.
