[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]

The story follows a Siberian cat named Inca and her friends as they make their way back to their detective agency in London after solving a case in Sri Lanka. This book, Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi, is a children's story that will keep you captivated from start to finish. You will always be amused by the Inca and her team of detectives.

In South Korea, Missy was chosen to serve as a judge for a French baking competition. She was excitedly escorted on her journey by the prestigious and exceptional detective squad led by Inca. Then the fun started. She was about to introduce a brand new cheese to the crowd. But while they were making their way to the event, the cheese disappeared. A wicked rival thwarted her plans. Next up for the crew was a search for Missy's stolen cheese. As the narrative progressed, the group learned that the man who had been housing them had been alienated from his sister, who was now residing in North Korea. The group had a fantastic opportunity to use their talents once more in these circumstances. Would they be successful on these missions? Pick up a copy of this book and go on an exciting adventure with the crew.

The narrative is told in the first person by R.F. Kristi. It is a quick read that instills the importance of friendship and cooperation. The latter was what I found most appealing. It is because every mission that was successful relied on it. Despite being part of a series, this book can be read independently of the others.

The storyline is simple to follow, as the book is distinctive and captivating due to the beautiful drawings. The end is famous for its suspense. I liked how Siberia, North and South Korea, and Sri Lanka were mentioned as locations. The French phrases made this read more elegant. I admired Fromage's perseverance. His bravery helped Enzo locate and retrieve the lost cheese. I also greatly value Kristi's willingness to include some sophisticated ideas in this book. Although there is nothing in it that would be inappropriate for kids, I believe it can help them develop their critical thinking skills.

I suggest this book to young readers aged seven to fourteen. I think kids would like reading this, but I also suggest parents read it with their kids. Because the book is written in such a way that even older readers won't get bored while reading it, it should be a wonderful opportunity for bonding with one's kids. That aside, some of the vocabulary will need an adult's aid to understand. I did not encounter any errors while reading it, which indicates that the book was exceptionally well edited. As there is no negative aspect to the book, I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars.
