[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is the first installment in a fantasy series written by Matthew Tysz. Galen, following his uncle's death and subsequent succession in the blacksmith business, has arrived from the Land of the Princes to carry on his uncle's business. He will benefit greatly from this chance, which will alter his life in numerous ways. He has no prior experience in forging, but he is really keen to learn. Rowan, the executor appointed by his uncle, went searching for him and offered assistance. Galen is from the war-torn and famine-stricken Land of Princes. Eldus, a new lord, is dispatched to the village of Hillport to save it from the consequences of the old lords Orlin and Meldorath's deeds. A dark and disastrous revolt is being prepared by the Riva Rohavi, a long-time foe of Voulhire. Following many years of stability and prosperity, Voulhire's King Wilhelm is ill-equipped to deal with the impending tragedy.
I particularly enjoyed the descriptions in this book. Since there was so much description, reading the novel almost seemed like witnessing it in my mind. The fact that each chapter's headline made it apparent who we were about to read about and prevented confusion was another thing I truly appreciated. Additionally, Galen was the only character who consistently used the first person; the rest of the novel was written in the third person. My interest was piqued and maintained throughout the entire narrative. As soon as I started reading, I had to finish it. I appreciated how fast-paced the book was. Although the book was brief, that didn't diminish the enjoyment of reading it.
There was nothing I didn't like about the book; I really enjoyed reading it, although it was occasionally challenging to recall all the names and topics it covered. I also appreciate the way the story begins. It aroused my attention and held me intrigued because it provided facts about Galen's life before migrating to Voulhire. The Voulhire realm is depicted on a map at the beginning of the book to aid readers in visualizing it. The book presents many characters, their functions, and unresolved difficulties; the plot of this novel is exceptionally intriguing. The plot was simple to envision and comprehend.
I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars because it was well organized and easy to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy, fiction, action, suspense, and thrillers.
