Kalayla must have really gone through a lot. She's courageous despite growing up without a father. I would like to read this book because the plot seems engaging. Nice review.

Kalayla by Jeanie Nicholas is a book I found to be highly interesting. Maureen's daughter, Kalayla added so much color to the storyline, regardless that she constantly used profanities. Well done.

This story has definitely made it to my must-read list. I will love to journey through the lives of these women and feel their sorrow and their joy as they overcome life's hurdle.

This story is about the life of three women, whose lives seems to be so complicated. However, a little love is needed to do the trick. Thanks for an interesting review.

For Maureen's family to abandon her because she married a black shows that racism still thrives in our world today. I will like to know how Kalayla and Lena became close.

Females supporting other women is always appreciated. Single parents need all the help they can get in raising their children and I'm glad Lena was able to help.

This friendship is like very regular and uncommon. It is a friendship among three women of different generations. This is an amazing review and I am looking forward to reading this book.
