[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
E. Alan Fleischauer's Reconfigurement is an insightful guide to retirement planning. The author is a business owner and financial services executive with a lot of experience. He uses his knowledge to show how important it is to have a well-rounded retirement plan. Fleischauer goes beyond traditional ways of saving and investing by focusing on the need to plan for the challenges of retirement, such as changes in the average lifespan and the costs that come with them. The book sheds light on the need for a restructuring of retirement planning and offers market-savvy tips and suggestions to help retirees make the most of their retirement years. Through the book, Fleischauer shows how important it is to plan for retirement and offers readers insight into things people often miss when planning for retirement.
Fleischauer does a great job of summarizing long and complicated ideas, which makes the book easy for many people to read. Also, the fact that he stresses getting professional financial advice before taking any of the steps in the book is a good thing and adds to the book's credibility.
Also, the book is fun to read because the author writes casually and uses humor. The author writes as if he is sharing advice from a friend, adding a lighthearted touch to an otherwise serious topic. Although some of the jokes may not be the author's strongest, most are well-received, adding to the book's appeal. Overall, the author's informal style was a big plus and made the book highly engaging.
The book is for people getting ready to retire; its content is useful for people in their early 20s like me. By reading this book, I've learned important things about why it's good to start planning for retirement early. Furthermore, I gained a better understanding of the different types of insurance that can meet my future needs based on my specific circumstances. Overall, I had a great time reading this book and learned a lot from it.
While I appreciated most of the book's content, there was one aspect that I did not find as enjoyable. The author's discussion of the historical background of various topics was not really something I enjoyed. Nevertheless, all other parts of the book were informative and enlightening.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book has no grammar mistakes, which shows that the author is good at academic writing. All pages are exceptionally well-edited, making it an engaging read. Using real-life examples and exercises, the author gives his arguments more depth. This makes the book very informative and fun to read. I want to give the author a big round of applause for doing such a fantastic job!
This book is a must-read for people getting close to retirement age because it discusses planning for retirement and insurance in the US. However, its value extends beyond just this audience. Regardless of location, young people can also benefit from reading this book by learning how to plan for their future and find a fulfilling career. Additionally, professionals in the financial industry will find this book insightful and valuable.
