The land of Voulhire is part of a multiverse that consists of the physical universe Cosmos(in which Voulhire is found), the magical universe Caromentis, and the spiritual universe Alithea.

Voulhire is a very prosperous nation, with well-to-do citizens, and a fairly good economy. Young Galen who was born and grew up in the Land of Princes, a land infested by war and poverty, seeks to escape to Voulhire to take over the forging business of his uncle who passed away, leaving him his fortune and business. He meets Rowan, his uncle's executor, who helps him claim his inheritance, but seemingly Rowan has other intentions aside from helping Galen take over from his uncle.

Meanwhile, King Wilhelm, King of Voulhire, has to deal with Midius Maido, whose position gives him almost equal power to the king. King Wilhelm also has to deal with the Riva Rohavi, an army of rebels who seek to overthrow Voulhire and give rise to a different nation. The Riva Rohavi collaborates with one of the greatest mages in the land, Meldorath who was once a general under the king but was arrested for his treatment of the people of Hillport, a part of Voulhire.

Lord Eldus, appointed by the king to raise the small town of Hillport from its ashes after the torments of its last two lords is killed by the Riva Rohavi. What happens to Hillport when Meldorath finally breaks free and returns? What will the Riva Rohavi do to the land of Voulhire, now that they are strong enough and have attacked directly?

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz begins with an action-packed prologue that urges the reader to go on. Meldorath and his companions, in a great display of magic and power, take out the guards of Lord Orlin and arrest him. Suddenly, Meldorath who was now a Lord was arrested three months later.

Ideally, the book contains everything a standard fiction or fantasy novel may contain, and I liked the fact that the book contains very little if any sexual content. The book is equally an interesting beginning of a series that prompts the reader to seek the next book in the series.

I found very little to dislike about the book. I found no errors, so I can comfortably say it is professionally edited. I did, however, find a few vulgar words though they did not affect my reading and understanding of the book. I think the book deserves a full rating, so I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I highly recommend this book to all who love fiction stories, especially lovers of novel series.
