Review of Surviving the Business of Healthcare
Throughout her life, Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C has been in the business of healthcare, either directly or indirectly. She had grown up watching her father, who was a medical practitioner, cater to the needs of the sick. She eventually finds herself leaving behind the music industry to become a medical practitioner. She takes readers along on her struggles and challenges in navigating the medical industry.
Surviving the Business of Healthcare is an essential book that focuses on how potential readers can understand, manage, and take better care of their health. She seeks to teach others how to care for their health while also availing herself to serve the sick. She seeks to help people with their different health issues. This was the driving force behind the authorship of this book.
There are so many positive aspects to this book. This book is not just a health-based book that offers tips to readers for them to maintain better health; it is a record of the author’s life in respect to her health and profession. She begins her story from her early childhood days in Pennsylvania down to her being diagnosed as a cancer patient at the time of the writing of this book. She shares her personal struggles and her relationships with her patients. Furthermore, she went as far as to include the conversations she has had with her patients as a doctor. She blended perfectly her personal life with her professional life.
Great emphasis is placed on caregiving and health care. The significance of both were engraved into the mind of the author from her childhood. She stresses the importance of having health insurance and how it helped her when she was drowning in medical expenses. She also offers tips on how to get affordable medication. Not only that, but she traces and describes the history of the health industry, the current trends in the industry, the challenges, and she also offers useful tips for overcoming them. As a fourth-generation medical practitioner, she has definitely seen it all. The book was also written in a simple, non-technical style. This makes it appealing to a wider audience and aids in a more profound understanding of the book. I could not find any errors in the book. I believe the book is exceptionally well edited.
I was unable to find any negative aspects to this book. It is an invaluable tool in my journey to maintain my health. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars because it is highly educational and informative. It is a must-read for everyone seeking quality health. I recommend this book to people seeking to improve their health, medical professionals, and anyone in the business of caregiving.
