[Following is a volunteer review of "DillDish Rotating Meal Plan" by J. Dillon.]
In a world where the emphasis on food has shifted to a very high value, everyone struggles at least once a week with a dinner plan. For this reason, J. Dillon created the DillDish Rotating Meal Plan.
She starts by explaining her intention and the accurate way to use her book, followed by the recipes. She perfected 20 recipes to use, within a 4-week rotation. Therefore, you don’t get sick of the constant repetition of food.
The first thing I noted remains the creative layout of the book. The whole design is open, relaxed and colourful. Everything is explained, in a few brief sentences and stickers. Coming to the second most noticeable fact about the book, Dillon loves to create puns with her name. Starting with the name and lining it up throughout the whole book. It shows how much effort she has put in there and how much of a heart product it is. Besides that, the book only consisted of 20 recipes and not 2000 you will never try. It surrenders enough freedom to get creative and covers all important food groups and nutrition advice as well as cultural diversity. She offers advice and even helps to make grocery shopping easier. The book is not just a cookbook. It is a kitchen guide. Including an overview of necessary stocks and motivating yourself to establish new things.
The only negative aspect I came along with was the name. Since I feel like it doesn't display the intention of the book well enough. It might not invite the right clients that need this book. Additionally, given only 20 meals, the chance of providing dinners you don’t like is high. But by having a wide variety and a chance of being creative you will find a solution.
I cherish the idea behind the book. Not having an aversion to cooking, opens up many new ideas for my next dinner, without too much effort. Therefore, I give Dillon 5 out of 5 stars. The book is very well edited and comes just with short paragraphs, a good option to habitually have a momentary glimpse and receive an idea without much effort.
Anyone who is seeking a diverse, easy and delicious dinner has to have a look at DillDish. And why not start to find joy in producing a nourishing, casual and fast meal?
And don’t forget, just five meals are planned a week, leaving enough space for the delicious pizza.
