A dystopian science fiction book called Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill provides us with a glimpse of a society where artificial intelligence rules supreme and humans have no voice. Many of the events described in the book are, however, already occurring in real life since, whether you work from home, shop online, or use social media, the notion of privacy no longer applies to you because you'll need to provide personal information, making your details public. The book only demonstrates how alluring and less stressful it is to have artificial intelligence (AI) handle everything, but that convenience comes at a high cost.

The main character of the book is Kim, an AI trainer who was raised by a very strict mentor and is, therefore, a law-abiding, obedient, mind-your-own kind of person who is just doing the best she can and trying to exist even with the minor inconveniences she faces most of the time. However, she is constantly plagued by dreams of her life giver and a past that comes in broken fragments that she can't seem to recall. She is a very naive young person trying to find her place in society before things get difficult for her following an awful bicycle trip with Shan, her best friend from college. She receives an unexpected promotion to a new rank as a maker. Is she prepared to bear the cost associated with this recent and abrupt change?

I adored how the author helped us imagine what life might be like under artificial intelligence supervision. Particularly the main character, who seems to have a very strong personality, the characters in the novel exhibit highly realistic behaviours, which helps to make their acts fairly credible. I also enjoy the vocabulary the AIs used to refer to themselves, such as the use of "I" and "us" or "we" for people. That deviated from the usual. Also, I liked the writing scene and the overall narrative. That was intriguing and distinctive.

There is not a single aspect of the book that I detest. That was an interesting read and rather excellent in its way.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. This book provides readers with insight into how life may potentially be governed by AI while also being incredibly engaging. It will also assist the reader in developing a fresh perspective on the present and future. I must give the author high praise for having successfully achieved his goal. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good science fiction novel, as well as to anyone interested in artificial intelligence and students who want to learn more about how cutting-edge technology functions. This book is perfect for you if you also like fiction.
