Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is a children's mystery novel that follows the adventures of Inca, a Siberian kitty, and her furry family as they travel to South Korea with their human mom. The book is part of The Inca Cat Detective Series, and it is suitable for readers aged 7 to 12 who enjoy animal stories and mysteries.

The story begins when Inca and her family arrive in South Korea and find themselves in the midst of a family divided by the political situation between North and South Korea. Inca and her family set out to help the family reunite, and in the process, they learned about Korean culture, history, and cuisine. The book is a delightful mix of mystery, adventure, and cultural education that is sure to keep young readers engaged.

One positive aspect of the book is its engaging plot. The story is well-crafted and holds the reader's attention from beginning to end. The plot is not too complex, making it easy for young readers to follow and understand. The book's educational content is also a positive aspect, as it introduces young readers to different aspects of Korean culture, such as traditional dress and cuisine, while also addressing the political situation between North and South Korea in an age-appropriate way.

One negative aspect of the book is that some parts of the story are predictable. While the plot is engaging overall, there are times when the reader can easily predict what will happen next. However, this may not be a major issue for younger readers, who may not have as much experience with mystery novels.

Overall, I rate Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi five out of five stars. The book is well-written, engaging, and educational, with relatable and lovable animal characters that young readers are sure to enjoy. The story's predictable moments may be a minor issue for some readers, but it does not take away from the overall enjoyment of the book.

I would recommend Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula to children aged 7 to 12 who enjoy animal stories, mysteries, and learning about different cultures. The book would also be a great addition to school and public library collections, as it offers an engaging and educational reading experience for young readers. I also found no errors in this book. It was exceptionally edited. I had a great time reading it.
