[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
A work of fiction by Dorothy May Mercer is titled E M P Honeymoon. Kelly and Tom Turbulo, who recently wed, are on their honeymoon. While Kelly is exploring the island, she unintentionally stumbles upon a terrorist group that is preparing to use nuclear weapons to destroy the power grid and destroy contemporary North America. They embark on a perilous quest to stop the missiles from being fired and must preserve the world along with Tom, CIA Special Agent Steve Spalding, and Cynthia Patterson's special team. Will the team be able to stop a terrorist attack? Get a copy to find out.
I was engrossed in every scene since the book is a thrilling action thriller. I'd like to point out that this book in the McBride series may be read on its own. It discussed numerous actions taken to stop the terrorist attack on Northern America. I was fascinated by the enormous sacrifice made by this new couple. Few people have the financial means to forego their honeymoons to protect national security. Kelly was an expert in deciphering computers, whereas Tom Turbulo was a city police officer. Their professions and experiences were really helpful to the process. This duo is, in my opinion, the most compatible couple I've read about.
The entire book was enjoyable. The plot is spun together by the author in such a way that it is impossible to look away from each page without blinking. The book contains a little romance as well as an exciting story twist. I'm in awe of Dorothy's skillful handling of the characters. The characters seem to be believable and relatable. The personalities of the characters resemble those we encounter regularly. Kelly, Tom, and their friends are battling to preserve their nation from an approaching catastrophe, and Kelly and Tom are unable to have their honeymoon. It is an intriguing tale chock full of intrigue and tension.
I didn't have any dislikes for the book. The story is interesting and compelling. The writer of the book performed an excellent job. By penning this piece, she merits commendation. Since there are no errors in the book, I must congratulate the author and editor on a job well done. With this in mind, I can say that the book was exceptionally well edited.
I rate this book five out of five stars because it motivated me to act in others' best interests. I recommend this book to anyone who likes suspenseful and action-packed tales. They will enjoy reading it.
