A children's book with dogs, cat detectives, and an adventure-filled vacation in a foreign country. What's not to love? Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is the 8th book in the Inca Cat Detective Series. This book is about a family of cats, with Inca, as the head of the Inca & Company detective agency. Their human mom, Missy, has been selected to be one of the judges for the French patisserie competition. This event was going to take place in South Korea. When the whole furry gang of cats, dogs, and a hamster come together in a foreign country, what adventures will they come across? Will they be able to help their new friends? Read the book to find out more.

The author has done a commendable job of bringing this book together. She has depicted the story with a beautiful connection between the human and cat worlds. This book comes in the category of children's books, but it has a lot of wisdom that can help adults too. It provides knowledge about cats and Siberian tigers. What I loved most about this book is that it offers a wide range of information about Korea's culture, geographical facts, and historical spots, like the Freedom Bridge. I appreciate how the author has used the story and the characters to describe the divide between two countries and their attempts to build peace. Some words in the book will be hard for younger children to grasp, but it will surely incite a curiosity to figure out their meanings.

There was nothing I did not like in this book. The only suggestion to the author will be to add a glossary page. It will help the children learn new words effortlessly. However, the absence of that page does not take anything away from the book.

I enjoyed the illustrations and the funny banter of the animals. I did not find any errors in the book. It was exceptionally well-edited. For the above reasons, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to young children, especially those who love pets as the main character of the book. This book is also suitable for early readers, but they may need a grown-up to help them understand a few words.

My niece will go to love this book. She loves cats so much, even though she has asthma. We keep her out of the cat's place but she always escapes. It looks like their adventure to another country, Korea went amazing! I love to read this for my niece. Your review is awesome, Nisha!

My nephew loves cats and plays with them all day. I will definitely buy this for him so he may also go on these kind of adventures with his meowkitts (that's what he calls them). Thanks for this amazing review Nisha.
